"A Little Heart.."

Today was a really amazing day for me because I was able to encounter a family that really touched me. I have been teaching dance for the summer recreation program for about 6 weeks now and have been privileged enough to meet all these precious little things. One particular little girl came to class all the time with a smile on her face and a cute, outgoing mommy that was pregnant.

I later came to find out their story of their baby and what their baby was going through. The baby boy has a heart defect, the family has struggled through the doctor's appointments and reality of what may happen since. (I can only imagine the strength it takes to be in their shoes and in the position.)

Well today was our dance recital and our last day to see our girls for the summer. The little girl came up to me and handed me a bracelet, while her mom stated that they have just been giving them out to family members and close friends but that she really wanted to share this with Amy and I. When I look down I see a little bracelet that is for her baby brother. It is a reminder to pray daily and lists a sight that is a blog to keep up on what is happening with their family and the baby boy.

When I get home, of course the first thing I do is sit down and read the entire blog from the beginning. Let me tell you, it was a blessing to hear the words of this family. What an inspiration to be in a situation where you feel the weight of the world on your heart as you worry daily for your baby and yet have the strength to know that your world is completely in God's hands. The entire blog simply made me realize that this family will make it through this, and not because they are just strong people but because they have put their entire world into God's hands and have trusted that He will pull them through. To say the least, I was balling on my bed as I continued to read through posts and inspirational words.

I have to say to this family that you are truly an inspiration to many people all over. Your words and your strength have only shown that so much is possible.

For everyone else that reads this blog, please keep this family in your prayers and say a few words for them at the end of your day. Continue remembering why you are here and how you got here. You can only continue to move forward and make the best of whats to come.

"Some other beginning's end.."

I have decided recently that it is time to start living my life the way that I should have for quite some time. Not only have I sold myself short throughout many times in my life, but I have not lived my life to the fullest. I feel that it is time to do such!

I have realized the loss of friends recently, which has put a huge damper on certain aspects of my life. I truly miss certain people that have come to me at different points in my life, and still have a hard time understanding what happened and what I did wrong. But, that is how I have lived my life for a long time .. always wondering "what did I do wrong??" When in reality, who's to say I did anything wrong at all?

Granted, we all make mistakes and we all mess up at times, but what is the need to constantly blame myself for something failing, when it is not always just me? I have decided it is time to stop this!

I am going to live my life for myself and simply surround myself with the positive aspects that can support who I am and who I live to be. I have wonderful friends, ones that I see everyday and ones that I see only a few times a year, but ones that are there for me throughout everything and continue to love me for who I am.

So here are just a few goals to start out the brand, spanking new ME!
1. Do the things that I want to do, not what everyone else wants to do.
2. Appretiate the people in my life that appretiate me, and don't let days go by without them knowing.
3. Do things unexpectadely.
4. Dance everyday with the music up loud (This is a moment for me to release)
5. Do something for someone else at least once a week.

Peace and Love,
Kait!
